Wedge Magnets

Get Permanent Magnetic Protection for Pellet Mills and More...
Bunting Wedge Magnets provide dependable, economical protection against pellet mill die damage caused by tramp metal. These simple, durable separation magnets are designed primarily for installation in the discharge chute of the feeder. An important, final opportunity to catch tramp iron that may have bypassed other separators.
They can also be used in vertical or steeply inclined chutes, up to 8" wide, where particulate or semi-solid materials are under gravity flow. For wider chutes, multiple magnets can be mounted across the width of the chute or even staggered above one another.
Increase Product Purity and Productivity
Bunting Wedge Magnets reduce interrupted production runs, equipment maintenance, and the wear and tear on production machinery that often leads to downtime and costly repairs. They are designed to...
• REDUCE PRODUCT CONTAMINATION
• PREVENT EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
• REDUCE FIRE HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH TRAMP METAL
• RECLAIM FERROUS MATERIAL
Wedge Magnets are engineered for easy installation, low maintenance and long service.
Get Superior Separation and "Last Chance" Protection
Bunting Wedge Magnets are ideal for installation in any narrow final chute that is easily accessible and that can be opened for inspection and manual cleaning. The wedge-shaped top diverts the product flow across the front and back collection surfaces, where powerful permanent magnets behind the stainless steel panels capture and hold ferrous contaminants. Construction meets requirements for Utility, Powder, and Food Grade Specifications.
Wedge Magnets for Gravity Flow Systems
Bunting Wedge Magnets employ powerful permanent magnets that resist demagnetization, last essentially forever, and require no maintenance or electrical connection. The 60-degree wedge shaped diverter head, which gives these magnets their name, helps prevent product build-up and bridging. Stainless steel construction resists wear and corrosion.
Once an accessible location in the spouting, near the final discharge area or ahead of a pellet mill, has been selected, ordering the correct size magnet and installing it are easy. Position the magnet facilitate inspection and manual cleaning. Mark the locations of the 5/16-18" tapered holes in the sides of the chute to accommodate four mounting bolts.
How to Select and Order
First, determine that your inclined spouting is suitably "narrow" to direct product flow over the Wedge Magnet and that it offers access for inspection and cleaning. Second, measure the width of your chute at the exact position where you intend to mount the magnet. Third, Call EBM for price and shipping information. Height of 5-13/16" and maximum width of 2-5/16" do not vary.
