Drive components are supplied with at least an AGMA Class II service rating.  The inline parallel shaft reducer is supplied with a foot mount motor on a wall mount reducer base.  This reducer is supplied with a chain drive and oil bath OSHA guard.  The shaft mount reducer drive is available in combination with a V-belt drive and OSHA guard.  An oil fluid coupling can be supplied with either drive system.

 

Scott Heavy-Duty Agitator Design

Close-wrapped ribbon agitator allows for a balanced, efficient and high quality mix.  Cycle times as low a 90 seconds are available with the HE ribbon design.

Tubular construction on the main shaft allows for longer life on the main shaft.

Ribbon flighting and support posts are gusseted and supported with back straps for durability and strength.

Other agitator designs available include paddle, double paddle, paddle/ribbon and modified ribbon/paddle.

Scott Specially Designed Surge Hoppers

bullet These surge hoppers provide fast, efficient clean-out between mixing batches.
bullet The Mixer/Surge Hopper combination increases production.  Batch cycle times as low as 90 seconds are available with this combination.
bullet Surge conveyor can be designed using the Scott invented curved section for inclined up to 45 degrees.
bullet Available with either paddle drag conveyor or a screw conveyor for discharge.
bullet Surge hopper capacity will hold the complete batch in the mixer.
bullet The surge hopper is furnished with a custom designed conveyor extension for each specific application.

  

Scott Drop-Bottom Gate
bullet Scott drop-bottom design has eliminated the piano hinge for improved performance.
bullet Single drop-bottom gate eliminates leakage and gives a complete batch discharge.
bullet Requires minimal servicing and adjusting.
bullet No felt, rubber or other sealing materials are used, yet a positive tight seal is achieved.
bullet All drop gate mixers are supplied with oversized intervent systems to allow for dust-free air exchange between the mixer and the surge hopper.
bullet Other gate options are available including single, double and triple air gate slide gates.  Specially designed discharge systems are also available to meet custom requirements.
