The Carlisle Poly-Rib belt is ideally suited for high speed, and or high drive
ratio applications that conventional V-belts just can't handle. The Carlisle
Poly-Rib belt offers smooth, vibration-free performance in a single, compact
drive belt.
The molded rib construction process used to build Carlisle Poly-Rib belts minimizes rib tolerance variation by forming ribs in a fixed bold cavity. Conventional ground ribs can be impacted by grinding speed and tolling wear. The smaller cord diameter allows more cord per inch width for high horsepower load capacity.
Carlisle Poly-Rib belts also utilize a special proprietary building process that results in improved cover lap splices to assure vibration-free operation on your v-ribbed belt drive. The Carlisle Poly-Rib belt contains unique, rubber compounds that are highly resistant to oil, heat and abrasion for longer belt life.
Finally, Carlisle Poly-Rib belts have a special "truncated" rib which enhances the belts flexibility and resists cracking better than non-truncated v-ribbed belts.
